Money Saving Idea No.2: FUND-RAISING
Rossett Platoon are arranging a number of fund-raising activities, such as Bag-Packing, Photo-shoots and Queens Diamond Jubilee events etc for the Cadets at Rossett. If you come along and help with the these activities you will get money knocked off the total cost of this years France & Belgium trip. In fact, some Rossett Cadets have already saved about £100 by doing this... and there's still time for them to raise loads more.
We believe other Platoons will be planning similar fund-raising activities for their Cadets too.

Money Saving Idea No.1: FREE DISNEY VOUCHERS
Sky TV are offering pairs of Disney Tickets for free but you have to be 18. We think if you apply for the tickets anyway (using the Cadets name) and make their Date of Birth so they will seem to be 18 or older on 4th July 2012 then we may be able to get them into the park for free. It's worth a try!! If it works for some Cadets they will get their £20 back. Here's what to do:
First, you will need a Sky ID. You may already have one. If not you can register for one by CLICKING HERE
Second, using your Sky ID log-on to Sky Rewards by CLICKING HERE
Third, you can then apply for your Disney voucher by CLICKING HERE
PLEASE REMEMBER: The Date you want on the voucher is Wednesday 4th July 2012.
Make sure the Voucher is ordered in the name of the Cadet who is going.
The voucher will take 10 days to be emailed to you.
If you want, the adults at Platoon will look after the voucher until we get to the Park.

Health Cards (EHIC's)
European Health Insurance Cards, also known as EHIC’s (and formerly known as E111 Forms) are carried by UK Citizens when travelling in Europe . It shows that the individual is entitled to Free UK NHS Medical Treatment for injury and illness. This card will therefore ensure that the individual will also receive appropriate emergency medical treatment whilst travelling in Europe the same as they would back home in the UK .
EHIC’s are the same size as Credit Cards and they look like this.
They are free from the NHS and are available to all UK citizens. Your child may already have one. If so please check that it will still be in-date for the duration of our trip. If you need to apply for a new one, or even a renewal of an out-of-date one, then you can do it by clicking here. It should arrive in one to two weeks. If you would prefer to apply by phone then you can ring the EHIC Hotline on 0845 606 2030.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you apply online then beware that there are several websites that will charge you for your EHIC. These are nothing but middle-men trying to make a few quid. EHIC’s are completely FREE OF CHARGE if you go to the legitimate NHS EHIC Website and apply for it. Don’t get caught out.
